The author own all the rights to the manuscript and is free to exploit his rights in any way that is in his best interest. All ghostwriters are contracted on a “work for hire” basis, therefore they hold no rights over the manuscript.
I collect information for books in various way; by interviewing you and other relevant people, reading any documents or recordings you provide me with. Often, clients have a rough draft of their book, which provides me with valuable information. I also send a list of questions to my client. To fill in any gaps or queries, I definitely approach the client.

This depends on few factors like; the project, how much research is required and how responsive you are to interview and feedback requests. An average project takes about 3-8 months to complete. Upon starting your project, I will create a timeline and schedule the work, which is open for your feedback.
In about 3-4 sessions, I get the whole gist of your manuscript which helps me to create around 50 – 60,000 words approximately. However, the client can always approach me anytime in between.

Confidentiality Queries
Only you do. It’s your book and you retain complete rights of your book. Ghostwriter is only hired to work on a contract with absolute no rights.
Only you do. You can claim sole authorship in addition to retaining complete rights to your book. Some of my clients choose to credit me as editors or co-writers. However, the decision is totally up to the client.
Your privacy is a serious and a confidential matter for me. Most of my ghostwriting contracts include a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to ensure strict privacy.
I sign confidentiality agreements before beginning the ghostwriting process. Therefore, you can be assured of their confidentiality which won’t be shared or discussed with third parties.
The person who writes the manuscript, i.e. the ghostwriter, automatically owns the copyright by law. However, I have contracts allowing me to sign the copyright over to clients, which involves a fee.
Payment Queries
Yes. I don’t expect you to pay the fee in one go. I will arrange a plan that suits both the parties. However, I will need a retainer for my service up front (never more than half of the total fee).
My service model simply doesn’t work on these conditions.
On some occasions, I will consider negotiating a royalty share to help subsidize a fee.
